OAKLAND, CA -- Andrew Levin draws on his diverse musical influences, reflecting tinges of Stevie Wonder to Radiohead into his singular blend of music that features a fresh and a promising transcendent trajectory as a singer-songwriter. He is setting an intentional path to create music that is entrancing and meaningful. "OCEAN" is the first single and video from his forthcoming EP JULY.

"Ocean was written right after I had taken a Buddhist history class in college and I read a quote about how no individual can achieve enlightenment until every grain of sand and tree has reached enlightenment. Also my first real-world job was on a Cruise Ship and it is there where I met a girl, who I thought I had fallen for at the time (youthful naivete) and felt like I was in a state of enlightenment when I was with her. But all pretentiousness aside, the song is about Buddhism, working on a ship and sex. Also listening to a lot of Little Dragon." - Andrew Levin
